Problem
Tremco illbruck operates across diverse construction and manufacturing contexts, requiring a brand system that could scale globally while remaining clear, consistent, and efficient to use. Prior to the rebrand, the existing visual identity did not fully reflect the company’s strategic positioning around collaboration, nor did it adequately support alignment across teams, partners, and applications.
Opportunity
The corporate rebrand presented an opportunity to translate the strategic idea of “collaborating for efficiency” into a cohesive, system-driven visual identity. By anchoring the brand around a unifying concept, the design system could both express Tremco illbruck’s collaborative culture and improve usability across a wide range of touchpoints—from technical documentation to marketing communications.
Outcome
The resulting brand system centered on the “Connex” logo concept, symbolizing connection, interdependence, and collaboration. Built as a modular and scalable visual language, the system enabled consistent application across industrial contexts while remaining flexible enough to support varied use cases. My contributions focused on translating the core brand idea into concrete design assets and visual standards, supporting clarity, consistency, and ease of use. The outcome was a practical, globally applicable corporate identity that reinforced Tremco illbruck’s strategic positioning while improving efficiency in brand application across teams.

Reflection
Collaborating with diverse stakeholders was essential to navigating the ambiguity inherent in a large-scale corporate identity rebrand. As priorities and alignments shifted, I learned to pivot my perspective, adapt quickly, and reframe challenges as opportunities for clarity.
To support this process, I proactively built relationships beyond my immediate team, creating a network of collaborators who helped surface insights, align decisions, and move the work forward. This experience reinforced the importance of communication, trust, and flexibility when managing complex brand systems with many moving parts.
